Case Study: Designing Templates for the Investec Champions Cup on Premier Sports.

The objective of this project was to elevate the visibility of the EPCR Investec Champions Cup within Premier Sports' content portfolio. As one of rugby's most prestigious tournaments, it needed to stand out amidst other major events like the URC and TOP 14. Our task was to develop templates that would later be adapted for streamlined use in Azzuu.

To ensure the Champions Cup stood out, we began by researching what makes this competition unique within the rugby world. By understanding its prestige, intensity, and excitement, we identified visual themes, colours, and motifs that would emphasize these qualities, making the tournament visually distinctive.
Design Strategy:

We created a set of templates with striking visuals and a high-end aesthetic, designed to grab viewers' attention instantly. By blending powerful tournament imagery with sleek, dynamic design elements, we emphasized the Investec Champions Cup’s prestige and prominence.
Brand Consistency:

In close collaboration with Premier Sports, we ensured that the templates aligned with both the Investec Champions Cup’s branding and Premier Sports’ overall visual identity. This maintained a seamless integration with Premier Sports' other broadcasts while making the Investec Champions Cup stand out as the focal point.

The templates successfully boosted the visibility of the Investec Champions Cup, helping it stand out among other high-profile content on Premier Sports. The dynamic design choices drew increased engagement and viewer interest, making the Investec Champions Cup a highlight of the channel's programming.
